Prominent Indianapolis law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Indianapolis-based litigation team. We are a plaintiff-focused law firm handling medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and other complex civil litigation matters throughout Indiana.
We are looking for a motivated attorney who can step into an active caseload with minimal ramp-up time and immediately contribute to case strategy, litigation management, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive filings
- Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and healthcare providers
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and case management conferences
- Work closely with partners on trial strategy and preparation
- Analyze medical records, expert opinions, and complex damages issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness preparation, and briefs
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Indiana
- 3 years of litigation experience preferred
- Experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or complex litigation strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
- Strong legal writing, deposition, and courtroom skills
- Trial experience is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced litigation environment
