Johnson Integrations & Shades is a family-owned company specializing in residential electrical work, lighting control, automated shades, networking, audio/video systems, and smart home integration. We work closely with contractors, designers, and high-end residential clients throughout Sonoma County, Napa, San Francisco, and the South Bay. Based out of Santa Rosa.

We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality work and values professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience in residential Audio/Video installations.

Responsibilities

• Run and terminate high voltage and low voltage wiring
• Work in all phases of construction including rough-in, trim, retrofit, and service work in finished homes
• Install and configure:
• Recessed/canned lighting
• Lighting fixtures
• Lighting control systems
• Automated shades
• WiFi and networking equipment
• Home theater systems
• Indoor and outdoor audio systems
• TVs and entertainment systems
• Smart home integration systems
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, designers, and team members
• Accurately document completed work and communicate project updates

Requirements

• 4 Year of previous experience in Residential Audio Video or Smart Home installations
• A basic understanding of electrical
• Experience is handling tools, and roughing in phase of electrical/low voltage
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the team
• Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
• Clean and professional appearance

• Residential construction experience
• Lighting control systems
• Networking and WiFi systems
• Audio/video systems
• Smart home integration
• Experience with Lutron systems is strongly preferred, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• $30–42/hr depending on experience

Travel Expectations

Typical work areas include Sonoma County, Napa, San Francisco, and the South Bay. Most jobs are within a 2-hour travel radius. Reqired to start/end day out of office based in Santa Rosa.

For projects requiring extended travel time and multiple-day work, overnight accommodations are typically provided for 1–3 nights. Occasionally, we travel for manufacturer trainings and industry education events that may require multiple days away.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
