Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Parts Department Counter Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking auto parts and accessories, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Your enthusiasm and automotive knowledge will drive sales, support vehicle maintenance needs, and ensure smooth inventory management. Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the right auto parts for their vehicle repair or maintenance needs
- Provide detailed product information, including fitment, price, etc.
- Manage inventory levels using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software
- Process sales transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely order fulfillment and vehicle maintenance support
- Maintain organized stockrooms by stocking parts efficiently and conducting regular inventory control checks
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new products to customers
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service procedures
- Experience with inventory management systems such as CMMS and POS platforms
- Proven negotiation skills to upsell products and close sales effectively
- Familiarity with retail math, automotive repair processes, and dealership sales management
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels, order fulfillment, and maintenance schedules
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while providing exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft office for reporting and data analysis
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance standards and dealership operations
