Heavy Diesel Road Service Technician
Farmington, NY • Full-Time • $25–$30/hr
Johnson Equipment Sales & Service is hiring an experienced Heavy Diesel Road Service Technician to join our team in Farmington, NY. This is a first-shift, Monday–Friday (7 AM–4 PM) role with overtime available and an after-hours bonus for any service call outside scheduled hours or on weekends.

Pay & Schedule
- $25–$30/hr based on experience
- Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM
- After-hours bonus for any call after 4 PM or on weekends

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment
- Perform brake, tire, heater, and defroster repairs
- Road-test equipment to confirm repairs
- Deliver high-quality, efficient repairs that meet time standards
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers and the Repair Coordinator
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience working on 48’/53’ equipment
- Component training or trailer tech certifications preferred
- Your own basic tool set
- Valid Class A license with at least 6 months of experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
