This position is expected to provide exceptional customer care and unmatched responsiveness to all our business partners internal and external to Johnson Electric. Primarily responsible for order entry and delivery of customer purchase orders; including sourcing and shipping of Saia Switches, Saia Motors, and Solenoids for the Industry Products Group of Johnson Electric. As interaction with various operational areas of the global company is necessary, strong business acumen is key. General knowledge and understanding of logistics and supply chain is required.

Primarily responsible for order entry and delivery of customer purchase orders; including sourcing and shipping of Saia Switches, Saia Motors, and Solenoids for the Industry Products Group of Johnson Electric. As interaction with various operational areas of the global company is necessary, strong business acumen is key. General knowledge and understanding of logistics and supply chain is required.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Primary customer contact to receive and accurately enter customer releases and/or purchase orders within 24 hours from receipt. Perform contract review to ensure alignment between JE and Customer commercial details: Part number/rev level, selling price, Harmonized Tariff Code, Incoterm, minimum order quantity, payment terms, end use, and other pertinent info must be in agreement with quotation. Formal acknowledgement with JE sales terms is required for each customer PO/PO revision.
- Interface with sister plants to order parts to production based on agreed upon lead-time, obtain confirmed ship dates from factory, ensuring it meets customer requirement considering transit time. Follow up prior to shipment date to ensure proper documentation is provided to factory to execute shipment on time. Assure intercompany transfer pricing is aligned with corporate SOP.
- Review customer requirements and collaborate with Key Account Managers on special contract requests and reviews, quality issues, commercial agreements. Resolve and/or escalate delays with sales/operations that may result in lost revenues.
- Responsible for accuracy of customer master records and item master records, including maintaining correct addresses, ens use certificates, pricing, pallet multiples, available inventory balance, application code, contracts, stocking agreements. Etc.
- Manage all customer commercial issues and drive to resolution to build and/or maintain positive relationships with key customers. Facilitate resolution of any problems for designated customers by being a liaison within Johnson Electric to Quality, Engineering, Shipping, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Planning.
- Ensure that processes related to ITAR and export compliance are consistently adhered to and issues escalated as required. Management and record keeping of product classification, end use and destination is critical to maintaining 100% compliance.
- Understand punitive import tariffs that may impact customers/part numbers based on product origin and quoted Incoterm to customer. Ensure customer PO's are in place to cover commercial agreements related to tariffs, provide support to JE Finance organization related to tariff impacted sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Management, or International Business.
- Ability to work onsite
- 3-5 years’ experience in customer service, logistics, or supply chain.
- The ability to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
