Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to execute precise repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, replacements, welding, and maintenance tasks.
- Service vehicles by replacing parts, adjusting components, and performing routine maintenance such as oil changes and brake repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate repairs accurately using auto estimating software while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, schematics reading, and automotive diagnostics equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles or similar makes with a focus on automotive service excellence.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs.
- Prior experience with auto estimating software is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
