CNC/Manual Machine Operator, 2nd shift

1. Set-Up and operate one or more CNC / Manual Lathes internal to Rotor’s Spindles, and Jackshaft Machining. A. Set-up program and operate machine tools and any other machine tools as required.

2. Edits or writes parts programs, manages tooling for given work centers.

3. Perform various machine operations using operator skills to make standard and non standard parts.

4. Decisions may be required devising ways and means of solving related job problems with little direction by others.

5. Meet or exceed standard tolerances and machine finishes as specified on drawings.

6. Able to read and understand drawings or other reference material.

7. Must possess and/or develop skills to use precision measuring instruments for a variety of measurements.

8. Inspect all dimensions of first piece and make any indicated corrections or adjustments to set up before proceeding with production. Make necessary adjustments during operation to achieve requisite tolerance or dimensions. Participate in data collection processes established for each machine tool.

9. Will be required to sharpen tools when necessary.

10. Perform necessary material handling associated with job including pulling raw material from stock and delivery of finished product to its proper storeroom location and completes all associated paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions.

11. Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records. Perform inventory count of product made and assign machining order/priority.

12. Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards. Support all pm activities.

13. Assist and/or independently order raw material to support either machining center.

14. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen Events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.

15. Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29.08 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
