Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nerve Conduction Technologist to join our dynamic neurodiagnostic team. In this vital role, you will perform specialized nerve conduction studies and electrophysiological testing to assist in diagnosing neurological disorders. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnostic evaluations, supporting neurologists and healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities

• Conduct nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG) tests with precision, ensuring accurate data collection for neurological diagnostics
• Operate and maintain specialized neurodiagnostic equipment, including electrophysiology monitoring systems and neurological devices
• Prepare patients for testing by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses during testing, adhering to aseptic technique and safety protocols
• Interpret diagnostic test results in collaboration with neurologists, providing detailed reports for clinical evaluation
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, findings, and patient information in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Assist in emergency situations within Level I or Level II trauma centers by supporting neurodiagnostic assessments under critical conditions

Skills

• Proficiency in performing nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG), electroencephalography (EEG), and other electrophysiology testing techniques
• Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and neurological diagnostics to ensure accurate test execution and interpretation
• Experience operating advanced medical equipment related to neurodiagnostics and patient monitoring systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to neurology, trauma care, and emergency medicine
• Ability to work effectively within high-pressure environments such as Level I trauma centers or neurocritical care units
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassionate communication and maintaining patient safety during testing procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, vital signs monitoring, and infection control protocols necessary for specialized testing environments
