Role Description The Automotive Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cary, NC, responsible for overseeing daily operations in the service department. This role manages service advisors and technicians, coordinates vehicle maintenance and repair schedules, and ensures that all work meets safety and quality standards. The Service Manager monitors department performance, manages workflow, and supports accurate estimates, work orders, and timely completion of services. This position regularly interacts with customers to address concerns, explain service recommendations, and promote a positive, transparent service experience. The role also involves managing budgets, controlling costs, maintaining compliance with manufacturer and dealership policies, and contributing to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong automotive and vehicle maintenance knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical information and support accurate diagnostics.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and customer service, with experience resolving issues and building long-term relationships.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers, team members, and vendors.
- Previous experience in an automotive service management or supervisory role within a dealership or similar environment.
