Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant (RT/MA) to join our team at Johns Island Urgent Care.
This hybrid role combines diagnostic imaging with hands-on clinical support, with a strong emphasis on Medical Assistant responsibilities and X-ray performed as needed throughout the day.
This role is ideal for a radiologic technologist who enjoys variety in their day and direct patient interaction within a structured outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a consistently high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Radiologic Technologist Duties
- Perform diagnostic X-rays per provider orders
- Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety practices
- Maintain imaging equipment and uphold quality standards
- Upload and document imaging accurately in EMR
- Ensure image quality prior to provider review
Medical Assistant Duties
- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Collect and document patient history
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Administer injections and perform clinical tasks within scope
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized exam rooms
- Support smooth and professional patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required (Radiography)
- Must meet South Carolina requirements to perform diagnostic radiography
- Medical Assistant experience required (certification preferred)
- BLS certification required
- 1 year of outpatient or urgent care experience preferred
- EMR experience (eClinicalWorks, Athena, or similar a plus)

Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience ($28–$32/hour)
- Weekend shifts include a $3/hour differential
