What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Experienced in Cardiovascular OR position at Johns Hopkins Medicine?

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiovascular Thoracic OR has 6 state of the art operating rooms and robotics equipment. Nurses scrub and circulate. Primary adult cardiac and vascular surgical procedures include: coronary artery bypass, valve repair or replacement, Type A or B aortic dissections, heart or lung transplants, implantation of mechanical circulatory devices and robotics cases.
Shifts: 10 hour Day, 6:30 am - 5:00pm
Qualifications:
- ADN required, BSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
- RN work experience required; must have 2 years of Cardiac OR exppereince
- Ability to role model and support practices consistent with evidenced based care, guide others with plan of care, independently make clinical decisions in complex situations, and proactively assist others with patient assignment.
