Neurology Associates is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to support the daily operations of our busy neurology practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while providing administrative support to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and complete registration, insurance verification, and copay collection in Epic.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemail messages, and assist patients with appointment-related questions.
- Make appointment reminder and rescheduling calls as needed.
- Retrieve, sort, and distribute mail and faxes.
- Coordinate the collection and scanning of outside medical records into Epic.
- Process patient forms, correspondence, and documentation requests.
- Route prescription refill requests and other patient inquiries to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Assist with insurance authorizations for non-formulary medications as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide general administrative support to the practice.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of medical receptionist or related healthcare office experience required.
- Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
