Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President, Budget, Financial Analysis, and Decision Support, this position leads the enterprise’s finance reporting and analytical framework, ensuring data-driven insights that inform both financial and operational decision-making. This role oversees performance reporting, decision support, and cost analytics to build a unified view of organizational performance.

Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring that the data being aggregated and reported accurately reflects the financial results of the organization and engages Finance, Decision Support and Performance Mgmt. staff to routinely reconcile the modules to core financial systems.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Oversight & Vision:

  • Define the organization’s analytics strategy, ensuring data-driven insights inform financial and operational decisions
  • Establish an enterprise-wide reporting framework and oversee standardization efforts

Analytics Leadership:

  • Guide development of performance dashboards, reports, and analytics models
  • Translate analytical findings into strategic insights and actionable recommendations
  • Champion predictive analytics and self-service reporting capabilities
  • Oversees and directs the preparation of financial analysis reports related to clinical programs or service lines.
  • Oversees and directs the development and preparation of reports that effectively communicate the operational results of departments that include contribution margin results for those revenue producing departments.
  • Oversees the coordination of business analysis with other Johns Hopkins entities. Validates financial data used, plans and presentations.

Data Governance & Integrity:

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of enterprise data sources
  • Partner with FP&A teams to align definitions, data pipelines, and governance structures

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Supervise analytics and decision support managers to ensure integrated reporting
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align reporting outputs with strategic and business needs

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate emerging BI tools, AI capabilities and data visualization technologies for enterprise adoption
  • Drive continuous enhancements in reporting timeliness and usability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science required four-year college or university, Finance preferred. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible finance analytics/reporting experience including 5 years of management experience with significant business impact. Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred.

Salary Range: $220,000 to $265,000 per year. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
