Hours: Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm
Location: 401 N. Broadway, Baltimore, MD
Pay rate: $17.50 per hour
Responsibilities
Function as a scribe to ensure complete and accurate capture of medical information as spoken/instructed by the clinician. Assists the clinician in navigating the electronic health record. At no time is the scribe performing independent clinical judgment or direct patient care.

Responsibilities
Function as a scribe to ensure complete and accurate capture of medical information as spoken/instructed by the clinician. Assists the clinician in navigating the electronic health record. At no time is the scribe performing independent clinical judgment or direct patient care.
- Accompany clinician into patient exam areas for the purpose of accurately documenting the clinician's encounter with the patient as described by the clinician.
- Seek real-time clarification of all information entered into the medical record.
- List diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as mentioned by the clinician.
- Enter orders, including diagnostic testing and medications which are pended and require clinician approval to activate.
- Document procedures performed and described by the clinician. Invoke the organizations approved scribe statement for each clinical note.
- Complete all scribe duties before leaving the patient care area.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Six months experience as a medical scribe, medical transcriptionist, or other related job in a medical office
- EPIC knowledge/experience
- Previous work experience in similar work environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in disciplines such as human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, nursing, etc.
