Payrate: $24-$26/hr. (Based on Experience)
Location: Johns Hopkins Care at Home Central Fill Pharmacy
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Documents and updates documentation on various pharmaceutical products that are loaded in the automated dispensing machines. Communicates with pharmacy staff and nurses about medication when necessary and appropriate.

- Prepare medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and medication orders.
- Assist in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Maintain accurate records, including labeling, documentation, and tracking of medications.
- Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas following established procedures.
- Monitor expiration dates and remove expired medications from inventory.
- Handle hazardous medications in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Report medication errors or potential issues in accordance with guidelines.
- Maintain and clean pharmacy equipment and automation systems.
- Participate in ongoing education and training program.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 6 months of Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required.
- Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with state of Maryland.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.
- Maintains continuing education requirements
