Now Hiring: Onsite Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician / Septic Pumping Technician
We are currently seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team as an Onsite Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician and/or Septic Pumping Technician. This is a hands-on field position involving septic system inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, pumping services, and heavy equipment operation. Position Overview
We are hiring for either:
- An experienced Onsite Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician, or
- A Septic Pumping Technician with a valid Class B CDL and septic experience
Minimum requirement: 1 years of experience in septic industry.
Key Responsibilities
Septic System Service & Maintenance
- Perform inspections, monitoring, and maintenance of onsite sewage systems
- Conduct septic tank pumping and cleaning services as required (CDL Positions)
- Inspect tanks, pumps, alarms, distribution boxes, filters, and drainfields
- Perform field troubleshooting and system performance assessments
- Identify system failures and recommend necessary repairs or corrective actions
- Read and interpret septic system drawings
Heavy Equipment & Truck Operation
- Safely operate commercial vacuum trucks (CDL positions)
- Operate mini excavators / Kubota equipment for repairs
- Safely use tools, hoses, and job site equipment for pumping and maintenance
Field Operations & Job Site Work
- Perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Lift, carry, and move up to and occasionally over 75 lbs (lids, hoses, covers, equipment)
- Work extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and digging
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
Customer & Project Management
- Manage jobs from start to finish with professionalism and accountability
- Provide clear communication and education to customers regarding system condition and needed repairs
- Deliver high-level customer service and maintain positive relationships
- Work closely with dispatch, estimators, and project managers to ensure job success
- Identify and communicate additional repair or maintenance needs when discovered
Teamwork & Documentation
- Collaborate with team members to complete jobs efficiently and safely
- Accurately log daily work activities, findings, and service details
- Participate in ongoing training, certification, and skill development
Additional Job Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug testing (CDL positions)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM until all scheduled jobs are completed
- Weekends may be needed
