Operations Associate I– Inventory/Warehouse
Position Summary
Johnny's is currently seeking a Full-time Operations Associates for our Day Shift. This position will primarily work in the Inventory/Warehouse/Shipping areas and may be required to cross-train in the Seed Packing department. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has excellent organizational skills.
Standard hours for this shift is Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 am -2:30 pm. Overtime may be required depending on production needs.
Starting pay for Day Shift is $17.51 per hour.
Position Responsibilities
Inventory, Shipping and Warehouse functions may include:
You will perform various tasks in the Inventory, Shipping and Warehouse functions. You must be self-motivated to meet daily sample pulls as well as meet specific deadlines. These tasks include daily sample pulls, locating incoming material in different stockrooms, finding material using inventory systems, rearranging material, shrink-wrapping, and labeling. You may also need to assist the receiver with sampling, labeling, or receiving; support cycle counters with locating and weighing. Additionally, you should report any problems or shortages to your supervisor or Lead, support daily order shipments by gathering, checking, packing, shipping, stocking, and performing other duties as needed. You will use handheld units for accurate inventory picking and tracking and prepare inventory for the shipping department. You must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
Seed Packing Functions May Include
You will cross-train to learn to pack seed into commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical means available. Being comfortable working in a repetitive process environment and the ability to follow processes and detailed instructions are essential. Basic computer skills are necessary. Familiarity with conversions of ounces/pounds into grams is required. Tasks could also include assembling kits and products and processing bulk seed orders for commercial purposes weighing between 50-70 pounds.
You will have the desire to maintain a balanced work area by working quickly and accurately while keeping the work environment clean and safe.
