Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk / Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our plumbing company. This role is responsible for greeting customers, answering phones, routing service requests, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate delivers excellent customer service while maintaining a positive and professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming calls promptly and route them to scheduling, dispatch, or management as appropriate
- Collect and record customer information, service requests, and basic job details
- Schedule service appointments or transfer requests to dispatch as needed
- Provide customers with general information about services, hours, and procedures
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and messages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office area
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management
- Support billing and dispatch teams with clerical tasks as needed
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in plumbing, construction, HVAC, or service-based industries a plus
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software and scheduling systems
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
