Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and drink selections to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining accountability for all payments
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas efficiently, and adhering to sanitation standards in food handling and food safety practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates memorable guest interactions
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving, bussing, and assisting guests
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with culinary preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills along with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and check splitting
