Responsibilities
- Prepare hardwood floors by removing old finishes, debris, and surface imperfections using specialized sanding equipment.
- Operate floor buffing, waxing, and polishing machines to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning, stripping, and finishing floors, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct detailed inspections of floors to determine the appropriate refinishing approach and ensure quality control throughout the process.
- Assist with heavy lifting of equipment and materials to facilitate efficient project completion.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring tools are in optimal condition for each job.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating project progress and addressing client questions professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in floor scrubbing, cleaning, or janitorial services, especially with hardwood flooring.
- Knowledge of floor refinishing techniques including sanding, buffing, waxing, and chemical handling.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor sanders, buffers, and polishers safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during projects.
- Familiarity with floor cleaning chemicals and environmental safety practices related to their use.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
