Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, organized, and client-focused Account Manager to join our team. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients, helping to ensure a positive experience while supporting day-to-day account servicing and relationship management activities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients protect what matters most. This position plays an important role in supporting client retention, operational excellence, and the continued growth of our agency.
Professional Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned accounts, including policy changes, account maintenance, and client support needs.
- Handle renewal submissions and assist in the remarketing process to help secure appropriate coverage solutions for clients.
- Prepare proposals and supporting materials for Sales Executives and Producers.
- Respond to client inquiries, troubleshoot coverage or service-related issues, and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, policy activity, and account updates within agency systems.
- Support sales teams and new Producers by helping explain commercial lines coverages, products, and service processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support workflow management, team priorities, and client retention initiatives.
- Support special projects, departmental initiatives, and additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1-3 years of insurance customer service, account management, or insurance sales experience preferred.
- Active New York Property & Casualty Insurance License required, or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working with commercial insurance products, coverages, renewals, and carrier rating platforms preferred.
- Claims experience helpful but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency systems required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, peers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborative, client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Position Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Part-Time, 20–25 hours/week)
Location: Spencertown, NY (In-office, Hybrid, or Remote considered)
Compensation: Starting at $18/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
