This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and is located at the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Admissions will be responsible for the management of the admissions and recruitment processes of the college. This will include budgeting and other support activities key to the recruitment and admissions processes. The position will be responsible for the oversight of new, transfer and return admissions students. The position directs staff and maintains a relational recruitment model for the college and builds relationships with area high schools, counselors, and area agencies and businesses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise the College Recruitment and Pathfinding team, including goal setting and academic program guidance for prospective students.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to increase enrollment within the college district, neighboring Missouri counties, international markets, and other targeted populations.
- Partner with Marketing and Public Relations to identify, engage, and cultivate prospective students through strategic outreach and communications.
- Oversee recruitment communications, including website content, advertising, and admissions correspondence, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor enrollment trends and identify opportunities to expand recruitment efforts and increase student enrollment.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment events, outreach initiatives, and promotional activities.
- Monitor admissions and enrollment data to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and support data integrity.
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state admissions regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Create and oversee a welcoming campus experience for prospective students and visitors to support recruitment and enrollment goals.
- Coordinate international student admissions, enrollment, orientation, and ongoing support services.
- Serve as the College's Designated School Official (DSO) for SEVIS, ensuring compliance with federal immigration regulations and maintaining required student records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience in relational development or admissions.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with faculty, staff, students, parents, high schools and community.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong expertise in Office and related hardware and software packages for reporting and processing.
- Understanding of/or ability to quickly learn- SIS and CRM (Ellucian Banner/Element 451).

Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday-Thursday (8:00am – 5:00pm) and Friday (8:00am – 12:00pm).
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to support student programs or events.
SALARY:
- This is an exempt position with a starting estimate annual salary of $55,000.
