Company Description: John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Venice, Louisiana, and into the Gulf of Mexico.
Position: Inventory Specialist
Reports To: Facility Manager, MEGA
Worksite: The facility is in Houston Texas (Houston Ship Channel Area). The company’s headquarters is in Gretna, Louisiana. (The greater New Orleans area).
Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday. Some overtime will be required on an as needed basis.
Essential Job Duties:
- Recording Transactions on DPS
- Load Sheets
- Blends, started and approved
- Package filling, including repacks
- Inbound packaged loads
- Bulk and package unloads
- Tracking and updating all bulk inventory, daily
- Work proficiently in Ascend including purchasing and receiving product, closing BOM’s and creating BOL’s
- Upload PO’s on the company hard drive.
- EOM summaries for certain suppliers
- EOM summaries for heating and tank storage activity
- Enter & Reconciling Raw Material EOM inventory Counts
- Reviews all demurrage charges and invoice discrepancies with A/P department
- Other duties that may be requested by Director, Supervisor or Executive Management as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Thrives in a team environment working to achieve an end goal
- 2-year college degree or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of the oil blending process from start to finish
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to work across varying procurement platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
