What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dockman (Intracoastal City) position at JOHN W STONE OIL DISTRIBUTOR LLC?
- Load and discharge liquid cargo to and from docks, vessels, trucks, tote tanks, and shore tanks.
- Perform tankering/bunkering operations.
- Complete and submit paperwork, including sales tickets, daily reports, and the like in a timely manner.
- Offload trash and used oil filters from vessels.
- Update job logs on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility.
- Operate a forklift.
- Maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Track inventory.
- Repackage inventory.
- Work without supervision.
- Use a computer.
- Adhere to and comply with company and safety policies, United States Coast Guard Regulations, and environmental laws and regulations.4
- At Least 18 Years of Age.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Reliable Transportation to and from Work.
- High School Diploma (or its equivalent).
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Basic Computer Skills.
- At Least Six Months of Heavy Manual-Labor Work Experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Person-in-Charge (PIC) endorsement and Dangerous Liquids (DL) endorsement.
- Work experience as a Dockman, Deckhand, or Tankerman (or similar experience).
Physical Requirements: All offers of employment are conditioned on passing a drug screen and a fit-for-duty physical examination.
