Plan and deliver standards-based lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for ELA and History/Social Science.
Integrate reading, writing, speaking, listening, and research skills across humanities content.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, and social-emotional development.
Collaborate with grade-level teams to support students’ transition into middle school.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Assess student progress using formative and summative measures and adjust instruction accordingly.
Create a positive classroom culture that supports PBIS and restorative practices.
Differentiate instruction to support all learners, including students with IEPs and English learners.
Collaborate with special education staff, English learner teachers, counselors, and interventionists.
Communicate effectively and regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
