Painter’s Apprentice / Painting Laborer
We are an established painting contractor with nearly 50 years of experience in the painting industry, specializing primarily in large custom homes, high-end residential projects, and remodels. We take pride in producing high-quality work and are looking for someone who wants to learn the painting trade and develop into a skilled professional painter.
Position
Painter’s Apprentice / Painting Laborer
This is a great opportunity for someone with 0–5 years of painting or construction experience who understands some of the basics but wants to learn the trade from an experienced painting contractor.
You do not need to be an experienced spray painter. We are willing to train the right person in spraying and more advanced painting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Preparing custom homes and remodel projects for painting
- Caulking trim, walls, joints, and other surfaces
- Sanding and preparing surfaces for paint
- Masking and protecting surrounding surfaces
- Basic brush and roller painting
- Assisting experienced painters
- Learning proper spraying techniques
- Jobsite setup and cleanup
- Performing detailed preparation work
- Following instructions and maintaining a clean, organized work area
- Learning professional techniques for producing high-end finishes
A major part of our work is preparation and attention to detail. Our projects require quality workmanship, and we expect the prep work to be done correctly so the finished product looks exceptional.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work. Some previous painting, construction, or remodeling experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Experience with caulking, sanding, prep work, brushing, or rolling is a plus. Spraying experience is not required—we can train you.
Schedule
Full-time position
- Monday through Friday
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Occasional Saturday work depending on workload
- Plenty of opportunity for overtime
Pay
$15–$25 per hour, depending on experience and ability.
