About the Position
John’s Liquor Store is looking for a reliable, friendly, and experienced Part-Time Retail Associate / Cashier to join our team in Falmouth.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with customers, operating a cash register, and handling day-to-day retail responsibilities. Previous cashier or retail register experience is strongly preferred.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady part-time work in a locally owned, established Cape Cod business.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions
- Verify identification and follow all Massachusetts alcohol sales requirements
- Assist customers with locating products and making selections
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
- Keep the checkout area and sales floor clean and organized
- Assist with pricing, merchandising, and general store upkeep
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming retail environment
- Work independently when needed while also supporting the rest of the team
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous cashier/register experience preferred
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions accurately
- Friendly and confident working with customers
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable standing and remaining active throughout a shift
- Able to stock and move cases of merchandise as needed
- Evening and weekend availability is a plus
Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer is helpful, but not required. We can teach the right person the product side of the business.
