Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Vessel Agent role based in Norfolk, VA. The Vessel Agent will coordinate and manage vessel operations, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with port authorities and terminals. Responsibilities include liaising with ship crews, arranging logistics for cargo handling, monitoring compliance with maritime regulations, and addressing any issues that may arise during port operations. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient vessel turnaround.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills for handling vessel scheduling and operational logistics
- Proficiency in preparing and managing documentation related to maritime operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with ship crews, port authorities, and terminal personnel
- Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and ensure smooth vessel management
- Knowledge of logistics, shipping, or maritime industry standards and practices is preferred
