What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Mechanical Inspector/ CMM Programmer position at John R. Bromiley Company Inc.?
Daily measuring of precision machined components to Aerospace AS9100 procedures using CMM’s, micrometers, comparators as well as other various types of manufacturing gages.
- Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts per the customer’s spec or AS9100 standard.
- Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly way.
- Yearly Gage calibrations
- Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to ensure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing.
- Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs.
- Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation.
Requirements:
- CMM experience, particularly with Zeiss Calypso programming and setup, is highly valued. Starting compensation will be commensurate with experience, with premium pay available for candidates possessing advanced Zeiss Calypso skills.
- Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an ISO/AS9100 certified machine shop.
- Basic math and computer skills as well as an understanding of geometric tolerances.
