Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The LVN will provide essential nursing care to patients, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. This role is vital in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care, particularly in areas such as pediatrics, infectious disease management, and physical examinations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct physical examinations and monitor patient health status.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Assist in the care of pediatric patients, including those in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Support patients requiring ventilatory support or dialysis.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in training programs within a teaching hospital environment.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Familiarity with sonography techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of current nursing standards and practices.
- Ability to perform physical examinations competently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient care demands.
