Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Support residents with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Engage residents through social activities, group outings, and personalized support to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
- Follow emergency procedures by providing first aid or CPR when necessary and communicating effectively with healthcare providers
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly valued
- Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support strategies
- Ability to perform standard patient lifting practices safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is a plus
- Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling to assist residents with mobility needs
Pay: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
