Duties
- Operate various types of trucks
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Load and unload logs with a center mount log loader
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo transported.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with different types of trucks
- Experience loading and securing logs
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
