Job Title: Tax Preparer
Description:
The tax preparer is responsible for preparing tax returns, learning on the job, using technical skills, and working as part of a team with minimal supervision. This person will prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns; prepare quarterly estimated income tax payments; perform miscellaneous bookkeeping functions including general accounting and adjusting journal entries; and carry out various tax research and consulting projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least 2 full tax seasons with an accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experiences
- Must have experience with preparation of corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns
- Able and willing to quickly pick up skills with tax and accounting software. Experience with Lacerte a plus. Experience with Quickbooks a plus
- Strong accounting and analytical skills. Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills for providing quality service to clients and working well with team members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Internet Explorer/Chrome/Firefox
- CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
Pay:
Depends on experience.
