Overview:
The Predictive Technologies Sales Engineer is a field-based, customer-facing role responsible for selling a full suite of predictive maintenance technologies and services—including Emerson, Windrock, IRISS, and CTC hardware/software solutions. This position focuses on identifying customer pain points, aligning technical solutions with business goals, and facilitating long-term partnerships. Candidates should demonstrate a sales profile aligned with typical sales model, balancing confident, persuasive communication with a practical approach to relationship-building and goal achievement.
The ideal candidate holds a BSME or BSEE and has familiarity with industrial equipment, enabling meaningful conversations with engineers, operators, and plant management. This role does not include supervisory responsibilities but requires close collaboration with internal technical teams and support staff to position services and technology successfully within industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with all client personnel, including direct and contract employees.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as an SME for rotating equipment, continuously expanding knowledge in this area.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of reliability platforms, especially Emerson’s AMS products and services.
- Consulting Skills: Apply advanced consulting skills, including risk management, project management, financial analysis, and persuasive communication.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including OSHA.

- Take initiative in identifying, qualifying, and closing high-value opportunities across the predictive technologies’ portfolio.
- Proactively pursue new business opportunities through focused prospecting, strategic follow-ups, and persistent engagement.
- Engage customers with energy and purpose, communicating value clearly and assertively.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and dedication in building a robust sales funnel, closing deals, and expanding market presence for predictive technologies and services.
- Maintain accountability to sales targets and consistently push beyond baseline expectations to deliver measurable growth.
Education and/or Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of sales or engineering experience
- BS in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) is optimal
- Working towards the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
