I. Summary
The objective for a person in this position is to support the Process Systems and Solutions outside sales team, proposal development team, and external customers in the quoting, ordering, shipping, tracking, and invoicing of PSS products and services. The products and services include Emerson automation systems such as DeltaV, DeltaV SIS, Asset Management solutions and other Emerson Automation Solutions products and services as required.
II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. While training in certain, specific equipment is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in learning on their own from time to time.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
- Enter orders using the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central business system.
- Support and own to resolution emergency parts replacement and warranty issues as needed.
- Support and own customer-facing phone calls and electronic requests with a pleasant demeanor.
- Support change order management, tracking and invoicing of customer orders.
- Receive incoming quote requests for setup and distribution to the proposal development team.
- Facilitate shipping of orders with warehouse.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system, file structures, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Outlook), and other modern software platforms and business systems.
- Attention and participation in work-place safety programs and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
III. Qualifications
Education
Required:
- High school diploma, or equivalent
Preferred:
- Undergraduate degree, Bachelor’s in General Business or equivalent
Experience
Required:
- Strong computer experience surrounding office-based productivity platform Microsoft Office, to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat PDF, including general navigation and Microsoft Windows operating system awareness.
Preferred:
- Order-entry experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Basic business acumen
- Experience in general accounting processes
- Prior experience using company ERP system for placing orders, managing inventory, etc. (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or equivalent)
