What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Swing Shift position at John Grimm Adult Foster Care?
We are looking for a compassionate Caregiver to care for our 5 residents in a home like setting. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help the residents.
Current opening is Full-time Swing shift.
Once training complete shift will be 3p-11p for swing shift position **WEEKENDS REQUIRED**.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Medication administration and documentation.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Help with physical therapy exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the residents (when they are able)
- Perform housekeeping duties
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
- Proven experience as a caregiver a plus
- Catheter care, Tube feeding care, Ostomy care experience a plus (will train and be delegated by RN as needed)
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR). will provide training if needed
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
