Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide specialized care for a client with a spinal cord injury with neurogenic bowel and bladder needs.
The nursing candidate will be dedicated to improving quality of life for the client through skilled nursing interventions. Clean, Punctual and Safe cares is top priority.
Duties
- Perform neurogenic bowel and bladder care, including intermittent catheterization, bladder irrigation, Shower as needed, enema administration, medication administration, medical supply administration and bowel management protocols.
- Monitor and document the client's progress, maintaining accurate records of all treatments and care activities.
- Provide support in daily living activities as needed, ensuring client safety and comfort.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Educate the client and family on bowel and bladder care, creating a partnership in achieving optimal outcomes. MiraLAX as needed.
- Monitor skin for redness and wound care as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses to manage scheduling and adjust care plan as needed.
Skills
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including transferring the patient with a Hoyer lift.
- Prior experience in neurogenic bowel and bladder care preferred.
- Strong understanding of urinary and bowel management strategies for individuals with a spinal cord injury.
- Ability to work independently, with a high level of professionalism, cleanliness and attention to detail. It starts with punctuality.
- Team communication skills.

Duration & compensation:
Average 10 shifts per month. Flexible scheduling via shared Google Sheets.
Start time: 6:30 AM.
End time: 8:15 AM.
Compensation paid biweekly via Zelle: $120 per visit.
