Job Overview
A Full time or Part time Associate dentist position is open in our dynamic, friendly, patient centered practice in Annapolis, Maryland. Our office provides state of the art dental care including advanced implant treatment, cosmetic, general restorative and preventative dentistry. We have full digital capabilities (Cone beam CT, iTero scanner, etc) We focus on honest top notch dentistry and fond relationships with our patients. Our philosophy and treatment results have made us a multi-year “Best Dentist” award recipient from “What’s Up Annapolis” magazine.
Potential candidates must have at least two years of private practice experience, military dental corps experience or a general practice residency/AEGD. Compensation is commensurate with experience ($750 per day or 35% of collections whichever is higher). We offer a 401k with profit share, generous CE allowance, and PTO/Vacation.
Outstanding language and communication skills are an absolutely necessary to build trusted relationships with our patients and team. We have a very loyal patient base and attract large numbers of new patients all by word of mouth.
Our practice offers a long term opportunity that allows you to form relationships with our patients and provide the highest quality of care. You will not have a quota nor will you be required to see large numbers of patients. We are not a corporate DSO office. We focus on quality not quantity to provide an opportunity to earn an excellent income. Prior associate earned in excess of $260k per year. Future buy in/buy out partnership opportunity is possible for the right candidate.

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
- Carry out complex dental treatments including root canal therapy, dental extractions, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately and plan effective treatments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to safeguard patient health.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Stay current with the latest developments in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and related fields to provide top-tier care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice dentistry without restrictions.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and thoroughly.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently.
