Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in pre-legal and legal debt collection and landlord/tenant process in law office
- Contacts customers, defendants, and tenants by phone, email, and mail regarding statements, letters, and legal documents
- Records detailed notes of all communications and actions with customers, defendants, and tenants
- Investigates disputes with customers, defendants, and tenants
- Sends necessary paperwork to customers, defendants, and tenants promptly
- Maintains confidentiality and the utmost discretion
- Collaborates with the Collection Specialists, Landlord Tenant Administrator, and Attorneys on legal process
- Uses debt collection software, skip tracing software, and public records databases
- Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and company policies
- Processes payments
- Answers main reception phone line
Qualifications and Skills:
- Computer and Data Entry skills
- MS Office and Outlook Experience preferred
- Interpersonal skills of collaborating with coworkers
- Customer service and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Collections, customer service, or sales experience is preferred
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
