Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Operator to operate, maintain, and repair food processing and packaging equipment, including complex automated high-speed machinery. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment efficiency, food safety, and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging and/or processing equipment on the production line.
- Troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging machinery, systems, and control panels.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance using hand and power tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards including GMPs, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, allergen/sanitation protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Document preventative controls and report food safety or quality concerns immediately.
- Promote a culture of safety by following protocols, reporting hazards, and participating in safety observations.
- Collaborate and share knowledge across teams to support continuous improvement and development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience with food processing or high-speed automated equipment highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be flexible to cover the role in the absence of another operator, as assigned by management.
