Machine Operator I-1st Shift

This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to lead and train team members on production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Perform mechanical changeovers and preventative maintenance on production machinery
• Identify and troubleshoot issues, reporting concerns to the appropriate team members
• Conduct quality control inspections to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Lead and train production line personnel in machine operation and workplace procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety regulations
• Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines, including HACCP, FSMA, and SQF
• Accurately complete all required documentation for production tracking and quality assurance

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems
• Basic computer literacy for operating production systems
• Ability to lift and move up to 50-60 pounds as needed
