Duties
- Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Oversee food safety management practices in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet service demands during peak hours in quick service or casual dining environments.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate staff training & development initiatives to enhance team skills and morale.
- Work closely with ownership to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management preferred within fast-paced restaurant settings such as quick service or casual dining establishments.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management, training & development, and staff interviewing.
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling regulations across diverse food industry environments including banquet settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in hospitality management roles.
- Experience managing hospitality teams in culinary or restaurant management roles with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of food production processes including catering or banquet experience is a plus.
