Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Clerk to join our team in a dynamic retail store environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen ability to assist customers with their purchases while ensuring a smooth checkout experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Upsell products and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked checkout area, ensuring that all merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and manage cash handling responsibilities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
- Marking stock as it comes in
- Light cleaning at times
- We are open 7 days a week including holiday. At least one weekend day is mandatory
- seasonal from May until September
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
