John A. Warekois CPA, LLC (JAW) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Client Accounting Lead to join our growing CPA and advisory firm.

This is not just another payroll processing position.

We’re looking for a payroll subject matter expert who enjoys solving complex issues, helping clients navigate compliance challenges, mentoring team members, and serving as a trusted resource for both clients and coworkers.

What You’ll Do

·      Process and review client payrolls

·      Resolve payroll tax notices and compliance matters

·      Support Paid Leave Oregon, OregonSaves, and payroll implementations

·      Serve as a payroll compliance resource for clients and staff

·      Mentor payroll processors and assist with training new team members

·      Support bookkeeping and client accounting projects

·      Build trusted relationships with business owners and clients

What We’re Looking For

·      3 years of payroll experience

·      ADP or similar payroll platform experience

·      Payroll tax notice and Oregon payroll compliance experience

·      Oregon Frances Online experience preferred

·      QuickBooks Online experience preferred

·      Strong communication, client service, and problem-solving skills

·      Someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
