What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABE/GED Instructor position at John A. Logan College?
- Instruct students in Pre-GED and GED preparation
- Responsible for teaching Common Core standards curriculum
- Preparing students for the GED, including but not limited to: math, language arts, science, social studies, and career development
- Utilize a variety of appropriate instructional strategies in a multi-level environment
- Monitor attendance and complete paperwork as required
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with non-traditional students
- Teaching experience in math, reading, English, science, social studies, and life skills
- Some experience with individualized instruction
