Role Description
The Industrial Food Planning and Production Supervisor is a full-time on-site role based in Plymouth, MI or Northville, MI. The role involves overseeing daily production activities, developing and implementing production schedules, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of operations. The supervisor will manage teams, monitor inventory, ensure compliance with industry standards, and work closely with cross-functional departments to meet production goals. Additionally, the individual will implement efficient processes and ensure safety standards are consistently upheld.
Qualifications
- Experience in production planning, inventory management, and workflow optimization within the food or beverage industry.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and compliance with food industry regulations and safety standards.
- Knowledge and best practices of GMPs, HACCP, SQF (food safety), Organic, Allergies, and Kosher requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, to manage teams effectively and collaborate across departments.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills to address production challenges and maintain operations efficiency.
- Previous experience in the food production sector and familiarity with packaging processes are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid email communication skills
- 5 years of Management of a team of 20 team members
- 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Hands on, working manager role, with the initiative to learn how to make the products and understand the scientific interaction of various raw materials, flavors, chemicals and color.
