Wage Scale

$18.45 - $30.00 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

This position will earn a base hourly rate between $18.45/hour and $30.00/hour and will be eligible to participate in our company tip pool. Our tip pool distributions fluctuate, and we cannot guarantee a certain distribution. However, on average, employees in this same position may make between $3.00 and $6.00 in tips per hour.

As a Receiver / Food Prep, you are a critical foundation of the kitchen’s success. You ensure that every product entering the building is received, stored, and handled with precision, setting the team up for flawless execution. Your attention to detail, organization, and consistency directly impact food quality, safety, and speed of service. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and high-performing kitchen. You stay ahead by being proactive, disciplined, and committed to excellence in every detail.

Duties

• Receive and verify all food and smallwares orders with accuracy and attention to quality.
• Organize and maintain all cooler and dry storage areas to the highest cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled, rotated, and stored according to FIFO and health code requirements.
• Maintain sanitation across all storage areas, including regular cleaning and organization routines.
• Transport and handle deliveries, including lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
• Support the kitchen team with general food prep and portioning tasks.
• Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success.
• Follow all food safety, handling, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Report any product quality concerns, discrepancies, or maintenance issues to leadership immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to high standards.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and lifting; and carry up to 50 lbs.
