Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct Therapy: Implementing treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP for individuals or groups.
- Screenings: Conducting speech-language screenings without interpretation.
- Documentation: Documenting client progress toward goals and reporting to the supervisor.
· Support Functions: Preparing therapy materials, setting up equipment, and managing daily logistics (e.g., scheduling, cleaning).
- Family Interaction: Assisting with family education and, if competent, acting as an interpreter.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Indiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association Board.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Physicality: Involves sitting, walking, standing, and occasional lifting, stooping, or kneeling.
- Supervision: Requires regular direct and indirect supervision by an ASHA-certified SLP.
Required Skills
- Clinical: Understanding of speech/language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Technical: Ability to use specialized equipment and technology.
- Interpersonal: Strong communication for interacting with clients, families, and staff.

- Has the potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work duties
- Has the potential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure due to work duties
HIPAA STATUS:
- Has been determined as eligible for access to/use of PHI & EPHI based on work duties and responsibilities in compliance with ‘minimal necessary’ standards
Salary : $39,000 - $65,000
