Join Joel Slaven’s Dog Lodge, a state-of-the-art dog training and boarding facility in Central Ohio. We’re looking for motivated, dependable individuals who are passionate about dogs and eager to grow their skills. This position offers hands-on experience in canine care and training, with the potential for rapid advancement into higher-level dog training roles for individuals who demonstrate initiative, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Provide attentive, quality care for dogs staying at our facility.
- Assist with daily kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.
- Help supervise dogs during outdoor exercise and enrichment activities.
- Assist trainers with dog handling and training activities as directed.
- Monitor dogs’ behavior and well-being and communicate any concerns to the team.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure every dog receives excellent care.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for dogs and an interest in canine behavior and training.
- Previous experience in a kennel, dog daycare, boarding, or training facility is required.
- A dependable, hardworking attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Comfort working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- A commitment to safety, cleanliness, teamwork, and high standards of animal care.
