Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, patient, and energetic Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated team in providing 1:1 support for an adult male with Autism in his home. The ideal candidate will help promote independence, ensure safety, and provide companionship while assisting with daily routines and community activities. This position requires someone who is respectful, reliable, and committed to providing person-centered care.
Duties
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, bathing, shaving, and grooming.
- Meal prep, housekeeping, and personal orginization.
- Encourage independence by supporting daily routines and life skills.
- Monitor behavior and respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations.
- Accompany and assist with community outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
- Communicate on a regular basis with family and team members as needed regarding daily events.
- Respect the individual's dignity, privacy, and personal preferences at all times.
Pay: $23.50 - $26.00 per hour
